Christ Covenant Worship Ministry

Mission
As worship leaders our mission is to aid and equip our church family to corporately worship the living God each Lord’s Day and to encourage a lifestyle of worship in daily living.

Means
We carry out our mission by using songs, scripture readings, prayer, confessions, creeds, the sacraments and encouraging personal and family worship.

Integrity
We commit ourselves to live and walk in personal and spiritual integrity as we carry out this public and visible ministry.

Humbleness
Worship and music ministries must be guarded with all diligence: in that we face the greatest temptations of vanity. We must guard our own hearts from pride, pray for one another and have our minds fixed on our mission of serving others.

Undistracted Excellence
We are committed to present music and worship elements that are skilled and rehearsed in order to allow our congregation to focus on the Lord. Our rehearsals and preparations are in essence a working out of our calling, which we do as unto the Lord.

Elements and Themes
We choose to avoid the trappings of the world by deliberately creating and leading worship services, whose elements are direct scriptural commands or that, in the words of the Westminster Standards, are arrived at by good and necessary consequence. The concurrent themes which we seek to underpin our Lord’s Day’s services are: the joy of Christ, the transcendence of God, the warmth of God’s love and presence of the Holy Spirit and the historic communion of the saints, both past and present.

Our adult praise and worship leaders are divided into teams and worship groups. Practice for Sunday worship is typically held on Wednesday evenings in the Sanctuary. If you would like to try out for one of our vocal teams please contact Scott Miller.
