The word "ministry" simply means "service." As a church we want to provide opportunities for you to serve other people since this is the way you grow and imitate Jesus who came "not to be served but to serve." The church is people and the involvement of its members in the life and work of the body is vital. The Bible teaches that God has given each of us particular gifts and talents to be used in His service. There are many opportunities for service at Christ Covenant. Each of our ministries has specific needs for leaders and volunteers. We always need people who love children and want to teach in Sunday school or lead games in Covenant Kids. And we are always looking for people with the gift of hospitality to open their homes for Covenant groups. These are just two examples of the many ways you can serve. There is both a place and a role for each member and his or her God-given gifts.
